An AWD Pontiac 6000 would give you an idea. The century/ciera/celebrity was a FWD only car though. Even the ones that are now W-bodys never came in RWD. Too many obstacles to overcome to do that.

First off, there's no space for the transmission or the driveshaft. You'd have to cut into the body, and now your hurting its structural integrity. There's a hump, but that's for the exhaust. Secondly, you'd have to find an axle that would almost definitley need to be modded to bolt up to the centurys body. Thirdly, how could you move the engine? Custom mounts and wiring extensions I'd assume? Fourthly, and I know this may not be an issue for you, it wouldn't be money that stopped me, but your spending or will be spending 10x what the car's worth. Probably even more than it was worth NEW.

It's Your money Do What You Want With It. The Strongest/Best Way to Do this would be to have a completly new tube frame built for the car along with a new floor.

just dont do what this guy my dad knew did. it moded a covair for a 305 v8 and when he drove it he split in half on the free way..........like right be hind his seat.......................dont mess with unia bodys.....

^he had a tube frame but after a year of stress it gave. very hot car tell that happend but yea
