I know we've discussed this before, but a friend recommended this to me. He had a Beretta and yes he did have other mods but once he added this chip, the car really had more pickup, here's a link to the store's background first, then it's like $70. Bu twhat scares me though is the get 50+hp, then the next line right away claims 35+hp. It drops 15hp so I'm tempted but a little doubtful. Then in check out it tosses a discounted off on a o2 sensor kit that adds like 20 more horsepower for another $70. What do you guys think about this one?

what is the store? and hell would freeze over before a 3.1 or 3.3 gained more than 10hp on a tune without a built engine or a swap.

my 3.3 stock tune runs 32* of advance at WOT. thats pushing it for 93 octane, let alone 87. and the a/f ratio was spot on as well, so there is nothing left powerwise in the pcm.

I don't even know why I bothered looking at chips or iat chips, I just saw a cutlass on cardomain that said it was 215hp with cai, exhaust and a chip. I just want some more performance! Did anyone find any rockers to fit the 3.3?

EDIT: Haha, I guess a link would help right?

im checking with comp cams for a solution. i will let u guys know as soon as they email me back. i asked them about rockers. they are easy to install, dont require a retune and give more mid range and top end power. but remember if you want more, its going to cost money and involve lots of time.

there are rockers available that will work. zzperformance sells them. but they are yella terra aluminum roller rockers that are $370. i want some cheap stamped steel non roller, as long as its a higher ratio. i was hoping for less than $200.

Hmm, that is pricy, does the "roller" really add an effect on performance verse just stamped?

not really. especially on a (not particularlly efficient) stock engine. people get roller valve train, knife edge the crank (make the counter weights "v" shape so it cuts through the air faster), etc... but all that stuff helps at mostly higher rpm and the gains are minimal. its more of a max effort thing. like ive got 498.2 hp and i want 500, what can i do, kinda thing.

did anyone ever find out the stud sizes on the 3.3?

yea those chips, alls they are is a resistor that makes the computer think its -20 degrees outside and the thing runs pig rich. They somehow consider that a performance mod.....

I'm looking into the stage 1, the 2 requires 91 octane, real complete free flow exhaust and some other mods
