Well for us 6000 people, those fog lights next to the headlights seem dim, and really yellow. Well When i got my new lights, i noticed that it had some pathetic 194 interior light bulbs, my originals had these 55w Halogen capsul bulbs, WAY WAY brighter. for those with the 194 setup, its as easy as getting the Halogen bulbs and changing the connector to 2 female spade terminals. black goes on a metal tab, the purple is the bulb.
My mod, was actually the yellow light diffusers. The center bulb holder has 4 tabs holding it down, bend them out, and pull it out, the diffuser just pops right off, and put it back together, It makes a huge difference, and I havent been flashed or anything once, and i took a road trip at night. no longer is it yellow, but the low beam performance is much better! Definatly worth it if you are bord.

Well what I can tell you is the wiring for a 194 is going to be made for a 3-5 watt bulb. The 55watt bulb would be 10x that and I would be very weary just putting in a 55 w bulb in its place.

RELAYS!!! USE DA RELAYS!!! (and by "da relays" I mean additional relays that would need to be user-installed, relays with nice thick wiring from an underhood source, not relays that are pre-existing) YEAH RELAYS!!!

its the EXACT same wiring that my stock Halogen bulbs have. I kept them, just different bulb connection, its idendical gauge and body connector. Many 6000's had the 55w halogen bulbs factory, some had the 194's, not sure why. My guess is that the STE guys got those lower fog lights.

Soo theres no danger in converting your 194 bulbs to the H3 bulbs, i belive there like 1210/H3 is the part number, but ill have to double check, just look up fog light bulbs for a 90 6000 LE at any parts store. Definatly worthwhile!

The wiring is exacly the same inbetween the fog light sets, and cars they would be going on. The only diference SOME may notice, some cars have a switch on the dash to turn the lights on and off (mine) and some cars done (Prospeeders maybe?).

nope i got the foglight switch factory. My originals stock ones were the Halogen bulbs. I wish the fogs would stay on with the parking lights, almost like a Daytime running lights i can switch on and off, without the low beams headlights coming on. And i wish they would stay on with the high beams. Im sure some creative relay wireing is all thats needed.
