i know a bunch of you live north, so before the winter comes and destroys the cleanliness of our cars, post some pics of how they look right now so that you can always remember all winter. Even if ya dont live up north, there havent been enough pictures of everyones cars since the forum re-opened(imo). heres a few of my celeb as it sits today

Looks nice;). GM should have put Firebird spoilers on Celebritys from the factory, they fit the car just about perfect. Back in '01, a coworker had one laying around and gave it to me because he thought it would look good on my old gray celeb. At that point in time, I had never seen it done before and I wasn't sure it would look good. I put it on anyway and I just couldn't believe how well it fit the car. I always had people asking me if it was factory:rolleyes:

Do you have the power to back up that SS badge? Did you have that Celebrity badge made? Also, you're totally rocking that Lumina/Cavalier steering wheel like I am.

Looks pretty good, especially with the spoiler.
Wish I could find mudflaps for the '90...

hey 86 yea actually before i even had the car but i knew i would get it.. i was roaming around on the cardomain pages and saw your grey celeb and it basically gave me the idea to do everything to my car so far that has been done, and this was when i was 14-15 yrs old. so thats where the idea for the spoiler came about, and i was lookin around for those lumina apv wheels forever until i gave up on them. luckily my bud just changed out the wheels on his monte carlo so i picked those up this summer.

duke, now we all know after the 96 impala ss left, ss was just basically an appearance package until the current gen impala came around, so its based off that lol. plus its got the power of about 130 horses, heh. the celeb badge is acutally all letters off of various monte carlos in the jy, i just kinda manipulated a couple to make a b and y and painted em.

thanks, don and electra, for the comments as well!

So that's a Trans Am spoiler on there? I might get this one off ebay if it'll bolt onto the ciera with no issues...

ochy, I knew that lettering looked familiar, but I just couldn't place it!

Tongle, yes that's the same spoiler, and it's easy to install if you have a drill, a selection of bits and a 3/4 inch hole saw. It doesn't match the lines of the olds quite as well but it still looks very nice on them. That price is a little steep, especially when you factor in shipping... if you were even considering that specific spoiler.

What price should I be paying for it then?

I think the most I've ever paid for one was $25.

D: I take it you pulled your own though.

Did any spoilers come with a 3rd brake light on them?

A couple were bought already removed from sellers. They were used on TAs '82-'85 and regular birds (non-formula) '82-'92. '87-'90 spoilers had a third brake light that can be removed if you don't want to use it. I've never installed one of those, so I don't know if it complicates things at all, probably not.

I think were a little off-topic though, sorry ochy:o

I'd actually want one with a 3rd brake light. are the 87-90 spoilers...do they bolt up the same as pre-87?

Other than the brake light portion in the middle, yes.

i actually bought a thrid brake light to install from the firebird as well, problem is its to big because it follows the slope of the firebirds trunk, and because out cars are shaped a bit differently., there isnt really enough clearance between the trunk and the spoiler. the only way i could get it to fit was when i was mocking up the spoiler on my trunk, when the spoiler wasnt installed rather it was just sitting on the screws(so it was about an inch higher then when its installed) and that way it fit but there was no room for the spoiler to be screwed down.also i paid 20 + shipping on ebay for it so i wouldnt really pay any more than that. if you were dead set on a third brake light you could grab an aftermarket led one off ebay for like another 20 bucks, but i never did this because its an extra 20 bucks for a light that i already had in the window
