My family is kinda weird....:werd:

Use use the *PARKING* brake for *PARKING* our vehicles.

So, I guess I shouldn't be surprised when the parking brake release lever wore out. The lever is actually a rod with piece of cable crimped inside that pulls the release lever on the parking brake pedal assembly. The cable frayed and gave up. The cable is only 5 inches long (maybe), but it's crimped into the rod.

Anyone know a source to get this part?

Thanks!
Ken T.

Really? <sigh!> I couldn't find one online at rockauto, so before I went to the yard, I dropped by David Taylor Buick/Cadillac in Houston. They found only two left nationally in the GM warehouses, so I ordered one. $16.16 drive out. Hopefully I'll have it in a few days.
