I've been looking at getting a rear sway bar for the Ciera from Addco. I was looking at getting one from a U-body though since it's bigger than A-body one, 1" versus 3/4". I know that U-bodies are supposed to use the same suspensions, but since the body is different I was wondering about fitment of a U-body kit onto an A-body. Looking at Addco's site you can see that they use different endlink kits. Does anyone have any insight into this??

Try this website. They sell an Original Performance Front End Kit and a rear sway bar for your car.

I just bought the Addco bar from summit for $149, which is $40 cheaper than PST. Do you work for PST or something because this is like the 3rd time I've seen you post their site.
On another note, what happened to all the posts that were in here?? I know there were at least 3 or 4 besides my initial post.

Would it be universal for all A's? Or is it model- or body-style-specific?

No, as a matter of fact, I don't work for PST. I just recommend them because their products have poly-graphite bushings.

It's universal and fits all FWD A-bodies.

Does anyone know if you could get a rear sway bar factory installed on an A body?? Or do you have to get an aftermarket one?

I think we touched on this recently in another thread, but basically the only factory "sway bar" is the torsion style bar that is built into the axle beam to help prevent it from twisting. I don't even know whether or not it's a solid bar or not, but that's pretty much all that you could get an A-body to the best of my knowledge. I've got every year Celebrity sales manual, and nowhere is any such suspension upgrade mentioned, so if you ever could get one it'd be only on something like a 6000STE I'm sure, which I've still never seen.

You can get the Addco bar from summit for $149 plus shipping from Summit Racing. They only charge like $10 for handling though so it's probably the best price around.
