Alright, to start out. The car is a 1993 cutlass ciera s. The power windows/locks arent working. Im thinking it must be a ground or something. The fuses are all good. Anyone got any ideas as to what may be the problem? Ive also pulled the door panels and there doesnt seem to be anything out of the ordinary, except for a broken track, no cut wires or anything?

I spent a long time trying to figure out what was wrong with my driver door lock before I figured out that it was a wiring issue somewhere in the door (the flexible area, probably a break). I used a volt meter, two pins, and a test wire and started poking the pins in to the lock wires to try to get a connection. Ended up soldering in a new wire in the door to the inside of the car. It was easier to just run a new wire than to try and actually figure out what was wrong. Turns out I broke the left side passenger door lock now so I'll be undoing the cut but leaving the new wire.

^^ thats definatly a good start, both the power locks and all the windows are wired through the driver door switches

The problem area is in the rubber boot in the drivers side door jamb. The wires flex in there anytime the door is opened.
I've ran into this issue twice with my A-bodies.

Thank you everyone. I will definitely look into that. It probably doesn't help that the hinge on the drivers front door is broken, so the door hangs low when opened. Probably snapped a wire from stressing it too much. Also would the wiring in that door be keeping the other windows and locks from working as well? Even though they have their own switches.

Yes! All the windows are ran through the master switch, as well as the locks.

Thank you. Ill definitely be looking into that this weekend! Also the passenger side front window track is off, is there an easier way of putting it back on than pulling the whole assembly?

im having similar dilema with my ciera. I found out the master switch was bad, only my passenger side power window wouldnt work. but the switch is good and the motors good i jumped it. I tested the wires from the master to that door, and there fine, so its goota be the master for my problem

What do mean by the track is off? Do you mean that black clip in the top corner came out of the track?
Usually the tracks themselves don't move. ...unless someone has been in there and didn't tighten things up.
