View Full Version : Turn Signal issues
Well, for awhile now my left-hand turn signal required me to click it back into neutral position after turning. Two days ago it shit out on me and now it stay in "stuck" mode when I hit it... as in it light up on the dash but doesnt actually blink. The right-hand signal works fine.
Anyone every had this? Could it be the switch or a flasher module? where is the flasher module located?

Their two separate problems. I suspect it's just a burned out bulb. Look for blown bulbs on the left side of the car. Failing that, probably a ground. The lever not clicking off is a clockspring issue, or on mine, one of the little springs inside the column broke.

Also, if you ever need to get at it.. The flasher module is clipped to the back of the ashtray slides. Pull the ashtray out, then unscrew the four screws holding it to the dash. The flasher will be obvious then.

Yea check the bulbs, hit the hazards and walk around the car looking for one out. The not turnign off around a turn is the springs in the turn signal cam broke, super comon GM thing. Gets a new turn signal cam and springs, ull need as steering wheel puller and lockplate compressor, takes like 20 minutes
I replaced the flasher with one from autozone tonight. cost me $8 and took me 5 minutes from the time I pulled in the garage. problem solved :) Not sure if the lever problem is fixed (haven't driven it yet) but it atleast flashes.
If it is a clockspring issue I'll let it slide, she's got less than 2 more months of road until she sits for the summer, if I get bored I'll worry about it then.

Well its not called a clock spring, we dont have one of those, as we dont have airbags. Its just little turn signal cam springs, there seriously like 2.50$ for a pack of 2 and 5$ for the horn cam thingy.

Yeah we have to replace the cancel cam on my ciera, left turn too, it's a doorman part in the autozone help section and it's pretty darn cheap from what I remember, just have to find the time to get it in.
