the front left and right rear won't stay inflated, and my battery (although i doubt it) is having trouble keeping a charge. i let the battery trickle-charge overnight, nothing changed.
here's what it does: (when the key is to the ON position)
it switches from having barely any power, to full power, back to barely any power, to full power, back and forth back and forth over and over. i hit the brakes, i lose all power. i try to start it, lose all power. please note that i left the battery have a trickle charge overnight.

Front left and right rear tires keep losing air? Looks like its' leaking air and will need to be changed (or patched but not a long term solution) (How much thread is left in these tires? )
Or do these tires have their caps on? That could be a reason for them to be losing air.
And the battery is charged overnight? but lost it when starting? This sounds like an alternator issue.

I was thinking more along the lines of a bad Ground cable. Try taking a set of jumper cables, and hook only the negative up to the battery, and the other to a peice of the engine block. See if this corrects the problem.
As far as the tires go, yea, you need to take it to a shop and have them checked for a leak, and patched, or replaced.

figured out the problem! it was my dad's battery charger. it's 24 years old and not working. got my battery charged all the way at Autozone, and the thing fired up. i'm letting it idle outside for a good while, let it get nice and warm. after about 5 minutes, the car entered a nice steady idle, and ran just fine for 200,000 miles. :)
why did chevrolet put the battery where it's a complete pain to get it in and out of? :(

They were just following the lead of the other three divisions - or at least I'm sure that's what they'd tell you if you asked. :)

I was very happy with the way they set up the battery in my ciera... It is much much easier than changing out the battery in my 86 vette... Wanna talk about a pain?
They definatly didnt want anyone getting to those suckers easily!
