sometimes when im driving my car and take off from a stop or if i slow down then speed up sometimes the engine lags, it doesnt stutter, it just doesnt go and is almost acting like im not pushing on the gas, ive put some fuel injection cleaner and that seemed to help a little bit, but also on the MAF its pretty dirty inside, could this be my problem or could it be something with the fuel (system dirty, fuel pressure regulator, etc)?

i had a similar problem myself.... i would clean the MAF with some MAF sensor cleaner for sure.. then check your fuel filter if you haven't already.. also make sure you always have more than a quarter tank in your car. anything less than a quarter tank and your pump works too hard to send fuel to your car and will wear it down faster. cheap and easy solution that may fix your problem..
if you still have problems afterwords then check the fuel pump. take the fuel cap off and have a friend turn the key to the on position (dont start it) and listen for the pump to come on.. youll hear a whirring sound for about 2 seconds before it shuts off.. if you dont then try listening to it from under your car next to the tank. also it would be good to check the fuel pressure.
if you have a multimeter check the ohms of your fuel injectors to make sure neither of them are going bad. that should about cover it for fuel.... if your still having problems i would start checking ignition.
hope this helps ya
