Since I'm home for the holidays and it's above 50F I figure I'd give Shake n Bake a much needed cleaning. It is my dad's daily driver and he doesn't take very good care of it:o

I can never seem to get the white balance right on my camera. Sorry if the contrast hurts your eyes!

Snagged a cigarette lighter from the JY since Shake n Bake's vanished. My last two projects are these:

I've broken a million Junkyard buckle covers, so I decided next time I go to bring a TORX bit and take the whole buckle assembly. That rubber thing that holds the buckle up is broken anyway, might as well replace it.

She sits at 124k. Been misfiring a lot. I'm pretty sure its the injectors since I've replaced 1 coil pack /plugs/ wires. In a couple years I think my dad will get himself a new car, and Shake n Bake will be my project. Or I'll swap him my Cutlass Supreme and work on ol' Blue for a while!

Yeah, what's the deal with all of the seatbelt covers' faceplates breaking off? Al l but one broke off in my car for no reason.

Looks excellent! I have to detail mom's car periodically for her, too.
It's so satisfying to get it all clean and fresh looking! GM used some very durable materials in the upholstery on these cars. A little soap and water will bring it back from the dead!
Good luck finding a new shifter end.
If you don't mind my asking, where did she get the name Shake n Bake?

When my grandpa gave us the car, the front end was out of alignment and the tires were cupped. So it bounced side to side going down the street. We drove it like that for over a year LOL poor car. Hence, Shake n Bake

I get it! Had to be a reason. A friend in Mississippi bought a used car like that. The front end had issues AND, and there was a short in the harness and none of the windows would open, nor would the A/C function.
Later,
David

That's terrible. Shake n Bake still blows ice cold air with original R12!

yup all outside lol. 50 is pretty warm for this time of year, so I welcomed it. My hands were rather numb though!
