I am wondering what all i'd have to do to convert the head;ights in my car to sealed beam. I havew an 88 ciera and the headlights are broken, what it be as simple as bolting on the chrome headlight trim and then bolting sealed beam into that or is it more complicated like i would have to change the front apron on my car?

You have to change the header panel (what the headlights, grille, upper park/turn lamps screw into) That is fairly easy. There is also supposed to be some minor rewiring for the headlamps to function.

Not to hijack this thread but aren't the prices for the composite lights OOUTRAGEOUS? I had to wait 2 months and pay over $400 for a pair of composite lights for my mom's 89 LeSabre!!!

I was considering converting my 86 T-Type to composite lamps - but now I am having second thoughts. If they get any rock damage it will cost $hundreds to fix.

The header is different. The sealed beams sit in "buckets" that are supported by a parabolic "socket" mouded into the header. This allows them to pivot for aiming.

The composite lamps bolt into the header on a flat surface. By doing some fiberglass wok you might be able to graft in the parabolic section of the header.
