I am a cheap person:) I still dont wana pay $$$$ for new or used headlights. I know a junkyard where you can get parts dirt, dirt, dirt cheap, no ciera's, but a lot of buick century's. I am wondering if I take the header panel, lights and all, would it bolt up to the spot where the old header panel is?? If the hood lines are diffrent, would a diffrent hood fit? i have a 88 ciera.

Not only would it look fucking goofy, I am almost certain it wouldn't bolt up.

AND can all that work and time be CHEAPER than a headlight from the proper car?:jawdrop: Come on man think.
Instead of spending $50 on the proper one your willing to buy a $15 header panel (Dont think they are that cheap but lets say) and a $20 hood (Again I dont think they are that cheap) then spend 1/2 to a full day doing this conversion JUST FOR A HEADLIGHT?

My car will get painted at maaco for less then $300. The next junk yard with ciera headlights wants $65 a piece for them, my side marker lamps are also cracked. The header panel off a celebrity has the same hood lines as a ciera. I would rather spend $30 at the el-cheapo junkyard for the header panel with all headlights, sidelights, grille, etc then $80 for it all a the other junkyard. My car needs painted anyway.

dude the only way to paint a car is to total strip it down and then paint anything short of that is el cheapo ugly. you might as well just get a lot of spary cans a paint you car that way. it cheaper and looks just as good ;)

Well then get lotsa pictures cause I sure would like to see the pain and suffering your going to endure to save $80. And THEN spend $300 for paint. It just doesnt make sense. But as you said before its your car.

I more about money then labor. I have a lot of time on my hands but not a lot of money.:( I keep myself occupied by working on cars. Does someone have headlights for sale cheap?? Included is a picutre of the car. If someone has a celebrity, can they look at this and double check thier hoodlines are the same as mine The headlights are not any issue of the el-cheapo paintjob :), my car has already been repainted in some spots when i bought it and the roof and hood are faded which makes it look like crap. :rant:If i get an off color header panel, it's still gonna get repainted. It won't take but 4 hours to change out the header panel and the attach the headlights, besides, it will look cool having a chevy grille:rock:, I'm a teenager, and many of them think oldsmobiles are old people's car,:bs: which is true because the first owner of this car was an 80 something year old lady.:kekeke: I might even but the celebrity name tag on the sides and back and throw on some chevy rims.

your probably gonna have to change the bumper too if you change the header. then the trim wont line up. then you got a dumb looking car. the hood lines are probably off by an inch or two anyway

Then a new bumper and the body of the car (Body lines on the sides) are not going to be the same. Along with the moldings that aren't going to line up either.
