Hello everyone, i have a couple of questions, hopefully someone can help me out.

well im looking to get an aftermarket air intake on my wagon, any suggestions? what brand, pros/cons, etc.

also, the wire thats in the stock intake plastic tube, looks to be a temp sensor or something. Do i just drill a hole in the new intake and stick that in?

Its a little hard for me to be very detailed, i haven't really examined it too much.
Any comments/suggestions will be appreciated

That is the intake air temp sensor. It allows the ECM to make minor corrections as to the A/F ratio. It should be installed in air stream, yes.

Ebay has alot of kits. I'm trying to visualize the engine bay, and the best spot I'm thinking of is behind the left headlight housing, or if its an option down by the air dam (though the tube passing by the exhaust manifold may actually heat the air)

It is a 3100 btw.

Hmm. I guess that could work, i need to look into it a little more. anyone know an average horsepower gain i'd get?
