Is there a performance chip for the 3300 engine?

I saw the chip you posted on the "Feedback" forum. Isn't that a lot of $$$ for a 5hp gain if it works? ...but then again, I guess I'm not one to tell you what you can afford. :)

Yeah I was just wondering if it would fit, I don't plan on it anytime soon.

Most "chips" simply remap the fuel curve so that more fuel is put into the system at any given time. While this does give some power, it's not really worth what people are charging. For real power gains you have to do hardware changes, then software to adjust for the hardware. Things like porting heads and intake, cam, headers, larger ehxaust, larger injectors.

Yea, just another thought: have you ever tried to access the computer in an A-body? I came across it when doing my heater core swap. Its mounted in on the firewall inside the dash on the passenger side. I don't know how hard it would be to put a chip in it, maybe you can remove the hush panel and get it from the bottom. I put a chip in my 1992 Camaro 3.1, and basically saw NO performance gains from it. Just my $0.02.

you can send out your ecu to be reflashed much better than a chip

If your actually looking for somesort of gain in power ,,, Look at Jetchips.com or give them a call.. you will need the PROM code off the back of your stock chip and see if it is compatable...
As far as the EBAY chips,, NO! like Stunna said,, it go in,, but there wont be ANY difference at all,,, its all BS

I have a stage II chip and i got a good 10hp out of it ,, but i had to put a 180* therm and have to use 91 octane .

Unfortunately 3300 owners got robbed as far as performance parts go .... the best thing you can do if you havent already is a K&N cold air intake and a cat-bak exhaust ... those will make a HUGE difference ,, then Iridium spark plugs... :)

Check out my cardomain page below here and take a look at my setup... it will give you a start .. :)
