I know I've read alot of talk lately about how crappy the front speakers are. I'd love to replace mine (the passenger sounds horrible) and the two I snagged from the jy aren't much better.
Does anyone know where I can find a set of speakers for under $25 (for the set) that aren't the Wal Mart specials? Also, a set that has the same plugs as the factory speakers would be a plus. I'd rather not have to put new spade connectors on the speaker wires if possible.

Check out the JC Whitney Everything Automotive Website. They have on special right now, 4 inch, 100 watt speakers, dual cone JVC speakers for $17.99. for the pair. Reg. Price $34. Or try some liquidation outlets. Hope this helps you.
I got a pair of Blaupunkts from Crutchfield last year that were around $25-$30, and they came with adapter harnesses that eliminated the need for splicing.

i picked up a set of polks on ebay for 50 bucks...trust me it is well worth the money..youll never kill these things. And as far as 3.5s go you cant get much better without going to diamond or sum insane brand.
extra 25 bucks but well worth it

I have a set of 3022cf Infinity 3 1/2 speakers. If I ever get around to buying some Boston Acoustics, I'll give mine away to any takers. ^_^

My car has the Pioneer speakers. They hold up well and are a big improvement over the factory speakers. Got mine on eBay about 2 years ago for about $15 including shipping.

I added these Infinity speakers a few years ago. They sound nice, and were a low buck purchase off of ebay.

i waned to get a set of those but wasnt too keen on making the holes bigger in my dash.
Id really love to due to the lack of sound in the front. I was going to do door speakers but really I just dont have the time or cash to start another fiberglass project.
I did make a pretty shnazzy rear deck enclosure though which i need to finish, ill get you guys some pics soon.

I am reluctant to replace my speakers yet, for one I dont want to hurt the stock look of the speaker covers and second because the stock ones still sound good. Not sure if its because of it being the SL version or the mileage on the car?
Last time I was on Crutchfield they had an option to match speakers to your vehicle. I did the search and it found a few sets of speakers for mine.
The one thing I do love about crutchfield is you get the wire harnesses and such for free.
