View Full Version : Ciera Luggage rack / spoiler - same Coupe and Sedan?

Can someone tell me if...

On the round-tail Ciera, is the trunnk lid the same between 2-door and 4-door body?

My 89 Ciera 2-door coupe is missing the rear part of the rack. It does not appear to have ever had the luggage rack brake light.

I've been looking in the yards, and can not find a non-tail-light, round-tail Ciera luggage rack. If anyone sees this, please PM or text me!

It would be helpful to know if the 2-door or 4-door makes any difference.

rarely see a 2 door around here but I"m almost positive that the trunk is same.

I can't possibly imagine the 2 doors and 4 doors being different. I would venture to guess since the front clip is the same the tail end probably is too.

We don't go to yards often but if we do happen across one I'll grab it.

Cool, thanks! So the only thing I've got to watch for is the 'non brake light' version. Mine doesn't have the luggage rack brake light.

The following information is from my Mitchell Collision Repair Book, 1982 to 1996 Buick Century. Seems this information should apply to the Cieras.

The luggage lid (sheet metal) listed for '89 to '96 is the same GM part number (20680040), regardless if coupe or sedan.

The luggage rack with high mount stop light appears to be used from '85 to '95.

No years of use were listed for the luggage rack without high mount stop light.

Both types of luggage rack were available in bright and black colors.
