In the beginning when i first got the car my first idea was to drop on an eaton but after more research and learning all the issues with the injectors and alternator clearance and everything i dropped the idea. But at work today i got to wondering if it would be possible to design a mid-intake. Meaning a spacer to lift the sc above the clearance issues ( clearly im not caring about hood clearance, I mean, what would be cooler than an a-body with a blower sticking out?) Ive never gotten to work an a sc v6 so hand on wise i dont know alot..but it is an idea.

get an air to water intercooler that fits between the blower and the intake mani. that is how the 3.8's do it. mine on my GTP raised the blower 2.3? inches or so. but yes, that would be badass to see an abody with a blower out of the hood.

Whatever Tech, supercharging and having said SC sticking out of the hood is not rice, it's RACE.

If you weren't such an amusing troll I'd petition to have you banned.

tech, this isnt the right thread to post pics of your car.

True, and sorry dude but I have to point the finger your way, when 90% of the cars on the forum can woop your ass ya cant go around pointing fingers and calling people ricers.

What a dumb comment, let me guess you think Subaru STI's are ricers too.

lol still might look cool...could always cover it with a cowl or something anyway. But I looked up an air to water intercooler that was mentioned and the cheapest I found new was 1200 soo that options out I suppose. ha

fast, cheap, reliable. u can only pick two. it is the law of speed.

I heard the same law, with "pretty" substituted for reliable. An equally true equation, for sure!

Haha, I've never heard that law, that is so true!

Yea I hear that, when I got the car it was mainly supposed to be a sleeper. Factory paint..no extra audio and flash but after a few people talked me into painting it and going overboard on the audio I was out of money for the stuff I REALLY wanted. lol I mean Im in over 200 bucks just in wire and cables on this thing ( basically what the turbo itself would have cost me).

For the cost it may be cheaper just to get a 3800 SC drop out... Would be fun car to drive..

I for a moment forgot about the 3300 being a short deck block as compared to the 3800.. Not even sure if the SC 3800 brackets will bolt to the block due to the longer 3800 deck height...

ever thought of using and L36 or L26 and putting the M 90 blower and heads on it? Would have to have a larger pulley to drop some boost due to the higher compression tho..

i had a NA bottom end in my GTP when i nuked the first motor. i wouldnt use it. its weaker than the supercharged bottom end, i chunked a piston on the NA bottom end.

Yeah, according to Wikipedia, the SC 3.8 uses some different, stronger alloys for the block and heads.

Nope... Its the same Block, same Crank and same heads with the exception of the Injector Bosses being drilled in the heads as opposed to the intake for the NA application.. Different Pistons and rods are used

Chunked a piston? As in ran lean and cooked of shattered?

sort of. busted two big chunks on the ring lands. car was running really strong, tune was ok, all of a sudden it just had a dead miss and that was the end of that.
