i hated the rims on my escort. I used acid to take em down to bare metal and i STILL couldnt bring them to a shine. I used a 100 gritt sanding disc, then went to 220, 400, and 600, still no good. I was about ready to row in ship for the day, i spotted a can of "rust tough semi gloss black"
so i thought, hey why not give it a try, so i took some tape and masked it off and sprayed it, then oiloa!

Iv done the same before, youll find that the instant ANYTHING touches them, they chip, lol, if you ever have to get tires, or have to take the rim off, it will have half the ammount of paint still on it, save up abit and get em powdercoated, if you prep em yourself, it couldnt cost more than 150 bucks

Prospeeder, that's downright beautiful! Is the lip cleared, or do you just keep them polished?
