Open to suggestions...keep in mind Im in NY and if its worth it Ill hit Pa.

Im looking for something pre-supercharged or turbo.

heh i could find you a 500 dollar car that would run just as good and clean nearly as well as any 1500 dollar car you could find at a used car lot or just checking craigs list. If you want the real deals, start drivin around and find cars that sit, they are Cheap cheap and anyone with brains can get them goin again

should i go after it? miles arent TOO high. What would be involved in swapping out the column? too much work? i think I likey.

It shouldn't take more than a couple of hours or so to swap out the column. If you have never done that kind of work before, but have a reasonably good toolbox with standard tools, you might even spend 3-4 hours (including coffee breaks).

Sounds good if the transmissions ok! Should be the 3800 with 4T60E. Steering column isn't that bad at all, don't know about VATS though.

We actually had to replace the column in my mom's car because she somehow broke the area where the tun signal lever attaches. I suckered a coworker into changing it because he's good at stringing the wires through. He complained a lot during the swap, but it only took him about 2 hours.

A Nissan Z? Shouldn't be hard to slap a turbo/intercooler on it, I almost bought one before the Shelby Z I got, neat little cars.

took a look at her today...not a bad car. Good runner, just a little surface rust and a bad headliner ( not an issue since I plan on stripping it). I know the 305's get a bad rap but I did some research and there are quite a few dudes dipping into the 13's and 12's on these motors without too much work. Calling the insurance company tomarrow for a quote than I may be picking her up. oh and it was a z31
