Well,
My father and I picked up a new long term project today, a 57 Chevrolet 1 ton panel truck. http://desmoines.craigslist.org/pts/1075304273.html Its kinda rough, but is all original & all there. The family business ran a 57 & a 58 back in the late 50's & Sixties, and we plan on restoring this one to what they looked like. Also, It will be a perfect tow vehicle for the 50's era Chris-Craft that is the current project.

Here is a pic of the Krants Bros shop in the 1950's. The 57 Panel is on the left & the 58 is on the right.

Does anyone know of a place that makes repair panels for the 55-59 era Suburban & Panel trucks??? All I can find online is Pickup parts.

I just thought I would ask, ya never know!

Looks like fun!

There is a website with a lot of good info, stovebolt.com I believe. Not long ago, I was looking around for replacement panels for a '46 Panel Truck, seems the '47-later stuff was much easier to come by.
