Im rebuilding a 3.8 supercharged V6. I pulled the engine out of a 97 Buick Park Avenue(Pics later). Im thinking about using a computer out of a 99 GTP would that give me any performance advantages or not? :dunno:
Just for fun here are the parts Im using to build it with.

MSD Blaster Ignition Coil Packs
PRJ Performance Ignition Wires
MAP Engineering Throttle Body Spacer
NGK Race Spark Plugs
Diamond Racing Forged Pistons
GM L32 Powdered Metal Connecting Rods
ARP Head Stud Kit
ARP Main Stud Kit
SLP Aluminum Roller Rocker Arms/Pushrod Package
Comp Cams Xtreme Energy L67 Cam 1
Comp Cams Hi-Tech Pushrods

There's no point in the MSD coils, the stockers have plenty of juice. Why a TB spacer?

Also, your IROC looks real nice! How many miles or on it? TPI?

I'd just forget about the first three things on the list. Then again, for what your going pay for a built engine you could have bought a low mileage L32 and had money left over.

What I need to know is if the GTP computer is any different better than the Ultra computer. I still will be re-programing it but which one should I re-program.

Ultra PCM has the BCM and Pass key III, Avoid it. Ideal is the '96 SSEi Bonneville as it doesn't have a BCM, uses Passkey II and is still
OBD II.

John,

Sounds like you'll have a lovely car after it's all done with. Are you planning on making the car a sleeper?
