Wow! Same color as the super clean car someone posted in the past day or two, down in Georgia I think, and a 1989. This 87 looks every bit as good.

Does anyone know if theres a search engine that allows you to search all Craigslist locations at once for a-body cars or parts?

Sure... it's called Google.

All you need to know, is how to use google to get proper search results.

If you want to search Chevrolet Celebrity on craigslist, no matter location, you add the following into the search field:

"chevrolet celebrity" site:craigslist.org (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENPE283&num=100&newwindow=1&q=%22chevrolet+celebrity%22+site%3Acraigslist.org&btnG=Search&cts=1243567451294&aq=f&oq=&aqi=)

The quotation marks ("") before and after Chevrolet Celebrity mean that google should only show results that match that exact combination.

site:craigslist.org means that it will search ONLY craigslist.org sites, and not some other sites.

If you want to narrow down the search for your own region, and you live in Boston, you'd make the search look like this: "chevrolet celebrity" site:boston.craigslist.org (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENPE283&num=100&newwindow=1&q=%22chevrolet+celebrity%22+site%3Aboston.craigsli st.org&btnG=Search&cts=1243567775911&aq=f&oq=&aqi=)

If you are only interested in a black 1988 Chevrolet Celebrity, you'd do it this way: "chevrolet celebrity" "black" "1988" site:craigslist.org (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENPE283&num=100&newwindow=1&q=%22chevrolet+celebrity%22+%22black%22+%221988%22 +site%3Acraigslist.org&btnG=Search&cts=1243567936706&aq=f&oq=&aqi=) but it would not be accurate... maybe the car has a black top and white body... but at least you would be narrowing down the results.

Those are just the basics of using Google, but unfortunately most people don't know how to make effective searches with it.

Hopefully this will be of help to you and others.

Thanks very much for the explanation and search tips Tuddi! Much appreciated! I've saved them to a Word file for future reference. I thought once I'd seen a site that claimed to search all of craiglist at once, but your google suggestion will work great.

OK, I just tried the google technique and it worked. I found this nice 1984 Celebrity Wagon in Seattle with low (65,000) miles

Might have been this one: http://www.craigzoom.com/

.... on a closer look, it's just a customized google searcher... using google to make the search, with the site:craigslist command. So you can just stick to google and get the same results. There are other engines claiming to do the same, those are probably also using google (or other big search engines) in the back.
