Because they look like THIS:

That has got to be the most gosh-awful looking car I've seen in a long time. The wrap-around rear window is horrendous. It may be a great car, I don't know and am not knocking the engineering or anything else about it - but I think the looks are BARFWORTHY enough to justify this post!!! :)

I don't care who you are, if you buy one of those things, then there is something wrong in your head. Being different is one thing, but you need to draw the line somewhere.

LOL, my biggest problem with these is that the rear isn't symmetrical, and the window frame wastes perfectly good space. (By being semi-circular) Other than that, it's not too bad.. I wouldn't buy it though.

It's like engineers are running out of ideas, so they're doing whatever.

The Cube has been around for a few years already in Japan, and it sold pretty well, which would be why they decided to bring it over here and compete with the xB and xD. Kia is making something called Soul which looks quite similar, though it is symmetrical.

I agree though, they're hideous.

Gee, I wonder how easy it'd be to knock out your rear window >_>

When did the visual definition of "obnoxious" become rad? The bulbous Nissan Altima and oversized 350Z have the curves and angles of Rosie O'Donnel.

I have to disagree, I think the 350Z fits perfectly with the Z heritage, it looks like a logical evolution from the 240Z.
I saw a truck full of Cubes on the freeway about a month and half ago, I was intrigued and check one out in person, I thought it was kinda neat (Not saying I would get one) But I came away unimpressed with the fuel mileage; only 2mpg better than my N* Eldorado.

This too, and it's because they have similar aerodynamic properties to an '86 Suburban: that of a brick wall moving down the road. EDIT: A brick wall being pushed by a buzzy four cylinder, at that.

Yeah, the fuel mileage on the Scion xb (I think that's be boxy one...) sucks too because they're designed with such a high coefficient of drag! Almost misses the point of having a small car, huh?

Tiny, slow, and inefficient. There's a concept!

The 350Z looks great in my opinion, its just the new 370Z that looks disgusting!!!!
