Hey all,
Went to a local salvage place to get some parts for my fathers Astrovan , found some nice A body goodness I thought I would share.....I love reading about others finds so I thought ya might be interested!

First, the only non-A car, Check out this loaded 85 Cavalier Wagon.

I thought it was an average workaday Cav wagon till I saw the dash emblem. Instead of the small "Chevrolet" on these older Cavs, this had this badge....never even knew these existed!

Next? TWO Century coupes. An 85 and an 87. Both with bench seat interiors.

Next? 89 Ciera XC. Completely trashed, but does have a grey console interior!

Finally? AN absolutely loaded 87 Ciera coupe. Notice the rims. Notice the leather console interior. And strangely, the lack of the FE3 sport suspension & its nifty steering wheel! Also, notice the EXTREMELY RARE ."Power window, but only for the driver" option. The previous owner obviously fell victim to the "But it was the ONLY coupe door in the state" syndrome that haunts us coupe owners constantly!

Wait a sec, what was that again? Yep, you guessed it! I love the little Atom logo!

Well, thats all......for now!

I do agree, I wonder what it looks like lit up? Also only power window is the Drivers side??? Thats odd... and I'm surprised that it doesn't have the sport steering wheel, it has the one like mine :) cool stuff

You should grab the weatherstrips and sill plates from the coupes, since they can't be found except in the yards. I got lucky and found 2 decent doors for my one GS car. They are a pain to remove the upper bolts in the hinges on the driver side though.I am looking for a set of the moldings like the maroon 87 has in the center of the door, except in total black.Someone removed the ones from my 2nd GS when it was painted. They are kinda big compared to the aftermarket rolls.

That is an understatement. There is a reason my Coupe is put away for the winter! Strangely enough, they also had a standard four door Celeb there with absolutely NO rust on it. Was an 87. The bottoms of the doors were PERFECT and the suspension was not even coated with surface rust! It HAD to be an out of state car as it had quite a few miles on it. The fenders (and bumper corners) will be making their way into my storage unit....possibly this weekend! The doors would be exellent for a VR reso project, cant remember if it had power windows or not though.....

Gridded dashboard "Trip" button.

Damn yes... the guy who designed this dash must have been trippin' on something stronger than LSD....

... push the button and find out for yourself!
