I think this is a 1981 model. The front grille is 1981 but the rear is finer, 1980 grille. I should have written down the VIN, but it's got current inspection and registration so it's ROADWORTHY and must RUN AND DRIVE so that's awesome. I'll shut up now and post the danged pics...

That would be hilarious with X11 wheels & hoods!

I would make each side different. The one end beige and copper two-tone with CL trim and deluxe hubcaps. The other end black with orange stripes and rallys or mags. X-11 on one end and Uncle Reginald's Sunday car on the other.

Could we get a link to where you found the pictures? I mean, the watermark is obvious, but I usually don't have much luck searching for something like this. Did that website publish an article about it?

I took the pictures with my cell phone and posted them at SuperMotors because I didn't feel like using TinyPic and SuperMotors watermarks stuff but it's less annoying than CarDomain's watermark and their batch upload is faster and more reliable?

Well, my meaning was, I wanted to know about the mechanicals.

I'll see what I can find out next time I go around downtown. Both ends of the car are column shift automatic. They both appear to have 4-cylinder engines. The CV axles ARE connected to all 4 wheels. I'm assuming to drive one end, the other must be in neutral.

Both are 2.5s? Man, there is an easier way to get an 8cyl citation!

This car does drive. The Central Bail Bonds company has at least 3 offices in town. I have seen this same car, same plates, at all 3 locations. They also have Beetles and PT Cruisers that aren't double-sided and they rotate them from location to location.

I also saw on Facebook a Prius with rear end damage, mixed with a totaled Subaru Baja sedan-pickup. It's a plug-in Prius Hybrid Hybrid truck.

Evidently this is a year old blog post describing the build:

What The Pruck? (http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2010/08/what-pruck-toyota-prius-and-subaru-baja.html)

I wish I could do this with a Fusion Hybrid and a Freestar minivan. 40mpg, 7 passenger, hybrid, navigation, and I'd put a limo-like divider between the front seat and the middle/rear rows of the Freestar. Would keep the Freestar passenger compartment and just graft on the Fusion front clip. This is probably what it would look like after combining the two and putting body putty and primer and whatnot in place...because I suck at GIMP and this is the best I can do...and also assuming the Freestar wheels fit the Fusion bolt pattern.
