I saw two cieras and 88 and 90 that had rounded vents :werd: :wtf at a junkyard. Yet everyone i've seen on ebay and in my town and my own car has sqaure vents. So where did these round-vents come from?

The factory? Kidding, but my 92 Ciera has them, and my friends 96 Ciera has flat vents. Think tongles 88 has flat ones too. Might have been part of a trim package?

I have a Ciera International with the round vents. Personally, I think it adds a tad more character to the dash. :)

And we all know it needs all the help it can get!!! :werd:

Those "rounded" vents started in 90 and went to the 92-93 model year then they went back to flat. I liked the rounded ones better at first, but after owning a car with one, I prefer the flat ones better. I like that whole vent panel being flat much better.

mine are flat in my cutlass cruiser, I like it alot better than flat, some variety in an entirely flat interior.

I've never seen the rounded vents. Can somebody post a pic?

I like the flat ones better, they match everything else. But my vote doesn't really count because I've never owned a Ciera:wave:

I would like to see a pic of both (maybe three?) vents? Round, flat, and what?

And yes...that's a brake rotor holding the tarpaper down on my shed in the background. Don't worry, that roof's been upgraded...to a tarp!

Its good to see you've got your priorities straight! That looks like an old roof, my dad & grandpa used to call those kind of shingles "Horse Blankets" My 1890's house originally had them...

Back on topic.....Ive always wondered about those vents too. Our old 95 Ciera had them, but Ive seen other 95's without. Could it possibly have something to do with what factory it was built in? Maybe the different factories had a different supplier?? :dunno:

I know, and it was a wagon too.

I want the 1990 XC wagon in my neighborhood but she won't sell.
