Looks like a 85ish. Halogen headlight century. Looked fairly clean from the road. Not sure if its for sale but its sitting in a used car lot with no tags.

Along route 61 below Pottsville pa. By where the ollies is and advance auto little mall thing there iff anyones near that.

I just read a classified in a local free auto connection paper with a 93 Century wagon with 74000 miles. Ad said mint condition. (I have a 93 Century wagon and love it but is a little rough with 130,000 mi.) The car is tempting, they want 3000 but books for Just under 2000. This car is in Central City, PA

It's hard to tell with just one side-view, but the front lights look like they are the 86-88 style. That would be good, meaning it would not have the 3.0 engine and would have either a 2.8 or a LG3 engine.

It had the old quad sealed beam setup did they have that till 88? Im not familiar with the buicks too much. I know some have the smaller dumb looking sealed beams but this one looked like it had standard 4x6 beams.

You're right. The small sealed-beam lights came out in 86 in the Century. The 85-back had the 4x6 sealed beams.

The smaller ones may be "dumb looking" but they take advantage of new headlight regulations that were in effect at the time. They are LOADS brighter and better focused than the older ones. I know for sure because I have both types of cars and have parked them side by side at night! :)

But do they even still make those?. The buick century is basically the only vehicle i ever saw with them. .. I got wagner britelite for my celebrity.. 2E1 low high combos then 1A1 high beams. They really light the road up better than every car i owned.

To me change is the dumb thing.. How the celebrity went to the newer headlight where you just put the new bulb in back. I rather have the sealed beams. I think they are more user friendly and have better upgrade or downgrade potential. Like when i got the car it had the original guide high beams. And i found a car at the junkyard with guide low beams from the 70s. Dim dull yellow bulbs. The 80s saw much improvement. I have never bought new headlights. I just find what i want at the junkyard. Like the geo metro with the wagner brite lite low high combos.
