I see a couple post on here warning to be careful about handling the coolant tube. I found a replacement for $30.00 shipped.
Think I should bite the bullet and buy it and replace the old one and get a new hose too ?

Replace rubber bits? Yes, absolutely. The metal portion? If you're that worried about it, remove it carefully and soak it in a bucket of CLR for a few minutes. If it doesn't leak, it's fine.

Also, I am not a moderator or the admin, but I will advise you to put all of your posts about your current project into a single thread. Aside from not cluttering up the thread list, it keeps all of your posts together in one location, so you (or anyone else) don't have to dig through a bunch of threads looking for information about your car.

Is this the one that is mounted to the thermostat housing or the crossover one? I've seen the former for sale, but everytime I've ordered it, I get an email of cancellation ( no longer available).

Delco 10182356. That's for the short one that goes from the top of the water pump to the lower intake on the passenger side front of the engine. $5 from Rock Auto.
