This is my Ciera-project!

My father bought i 1988 and where very happy with it. 1991 the Swedish Vehicle inspection blown the engine at a smog test.

The insurance company took the car and since then it has been gone. I thought the car was scrapped but a few weeks ago I saw it on facebook market place. I bought back the car after 27 years. The engine has been removed and sent to Germany for reconstruction of the previous owner. The company to renovate the engine has gone bankrupt and the engine is gone.

I have some questions about the car, why is it in two colors? How many where there produced? I have only seen two cars on the internet with this color combination.

That's so cool you found the car after 27 years! What are your plans for it? Full restoration?

Hi Tyson!

I'm going to renovate the car, unfortunately, I can not get the original engine and gearbox in Sweden. My plan is to take a Volvo S80 T6 272bhp engine and put it in.
Remove all rust and paint it in the same color as original.

I donĀ“t know if you can se my facebook profile, I started a album of the project wich I update more freqently.

Some S80 T6s also used the 4T65EV/GT transmission, which was GM 4T60E specially built for Volvo. Since the GM A-body was available with the 4T60 / 4T60E transmission, there may be existing parts that could aid in such a swap, if you choose to use the whole powertrain.

Thats nice! :D. I hope the engine will fit the engine bay without any big struggeling. Probably I need to remake the subframe to fit, because i need to replace both shocks, wishbones power steering etc .

I have also a second thought about putting in a Chrysler 300M engine instead of Volvo.

The Volvo swap sounds very interesting!
