We probably need more double posting LOL, super glad that this car is in safe hands, I enjoyed its time with me and even took it to the inaugural Back to the 80's MN car show in the Minneapolis area in 2017! The only reason I sold it was the acquiring of my 82 coupe, and the resurrection of my 86!

Just because I can, I'm digging up this old thread. It's May 2020 now, and this car is still around. I acquired it from veedubber October 2019, and finally went though and found what was wrong with the car after all these years. The engine was simply shot, lack of maintenance since 1985, a massive vacuum leak, blown throttle body riser, damaged ICM wiring, completely plugged EGR passages. Looks like the engine put up with it these issues for a long time. I had a brand new engine built from the ground up for this car, and I resolved and replaced all the problematic parts.

Just felt like mentioning this car was still around, since a lot of these old threads, when you find them, you can't help but wonder if that car is still around.

I did, I will need to get some pictures. I actually ended up driving it right thru the State Fair traffic with not too much trouble. I've already got plates on it and am hoping to get the motor in by the end of the year!

Great news. The celeb is not going to JY. A1veedubber just bought it. He plans to put a motor in it this winter. Hope he enjoys it as much as I did.

Hey, I am just a few miles west of you and would be VERY interested depending upon how soon you need to sell it........would need to get a little scratch together. I even have a running 2.5 from an 85 Celeb sitting in my garage!
