1985 Chevy Celebrity Coupe $550 OBO

Selling my '85 Celeb. 2.5 4 cyl. Has bad head gasket or bad valves. Zero compression on 2 middle cylinders. Doesn't seem to be mixing fluids. Does leak a little oil onto the ground. Most of you have probably seen my post in the mechanical section. Very little rust. Mostly very good good interior. Paint is a little faded but not bad for an '85. Speakers have been removed. Pioneer head unit stays. newer parts include - Dizzy cap & rotor, ac delco plugs & wells plug wires, AZ lifetime starter, Napa belts. R12 AC still blows cold.

Would prefer to keep newer napa battery but that might be negotiable.

Still runs and drives, just crappy, especially when warmed up. All sensors read within spec when checked with live data on an actron scanner. Does sometimes throw a code 45 - (rich exhaust).

Would really like to see this go to someone that would fix it or at least use parts for another project. Hate to sell it for scrap. Just don't have time, money, or ability to take on a head repair.

94500 miles. Removing head is just more than I want to tackle. Lowering price to $450 obo. I keep Battery. Have a junkyard that offered me more than scrap value. Going to sell to them, if no other offers in a couple of days.

If they offered more than scrap value, they more than likely want to throw a motor into the car because they have one available. Our junkyard s do that on clean cars they get in... saw that happen to a Chevy Astro RS that came into the nearest junkyard... It was gone twodays later, never even hit the yard

Great news. The celeb is not going to JY. A1veedubber just bought it. He plans to put a motor in it this winter. Hope he enjoys it as much as I did.

I did, I will need to get some pictures. I actually ended up driving it right thru the State Fair traffic with not too much trouble. I've already got plates on it and am hoping to get the motor in by the end of the year!
