I ordered a set of Mevotech front strut mounts, from Rock Auto, universal design apparently. They don't fit my 87 Ciera sedan. The universal design has a flat mounting surface with mounting bolts pointing straight up. The original one is a dome shape with the two mounting bolts on a slight angle pointing outwards. I checked different years all same design. I just cleaned up old ones. Maybe 87 was an odd year for the strut tower design?

Same strut design thru out the A-body lifespan. The Mevotechs are junk, have yet to find anyone that has anything good to say about them in ANY part they make.
Mevotech offers control arms, ball joints, and other items for my truck. Mevotechs always seem to fail in 3-6 months.

The only thing I know that changed at some point was the stud pattern, but it looks like that was accounted for.1989 Celebrity CL 4 door, 3.1 MPFI, 4 speed auto, summer daily driver

I ordered mine months ago, Rock Auto was out of the Delco mounts at the time. I try to get Delco parts when I can. I'll have to take pictures, I might order some Delco mounts, but that picture doesn't look right. The two studs on mine are noticeably angled. With the two mount holes for third bolt. It's just a regular Ciera. FE1 suspension. JA2 brakes. It's strange.

I usually pay up for moog. I realize with rockauto sometimes you take what’s in your cart to save shipping. Those parts are too aggravating to change and I usually do everything up front so I’m done. Call summit racing or moog tech support, they might be able to get some part numbers and advice.

I am learning that RA is not all that its cracked up to be unless you can find the good parts in the closeout section. Order multiple parts, and they have to come out of different warehouses, and now you have to pay shipping from each parts warehouse.
On my recent rebuild on my Saab, it was cheaper, BY A LOT, to order all the parts from Amazon, after cross referencing the part #'s thru RA.Brian - Carpe Diem
