Just found out what bulb type I needed, it is a type 37 bulb. I got mine cheap at Autozone and made by Sylvania.

Did you ever find out what bulb is used in your car? I am looking to replace mine, but don't want to tear apart the door panel yet......

In 1985 Ciera/Cruiser Owner's Manual, all I can find is a courtesy light (2) with bulb number 908.

But, when I look up this bulb, I get this below, which does not seem right, voltage wise:

#908 MINIATURE BULB GLASS WEDGE BASE - 6 Volt 1.5 Amp T5 Glass Wedge Base Lamp, 12.0 MSCP C-2R Filament Design, 50 Average Rated Hours. 1.49" Maximum Overall Length. #908

    Ciera window switch lamps

Does anyone know what kind of bulb resides in that little bump above the window switches in an Olds Ciera? I have an idea to replace mine with LEDs whenever I next have the doors apart, and if it's a standard automotive bulb I'll just order the LED replacement.
Working...
