    A good idea if you ask me, those larger diameter tires really make you feel the bumps in the road!
    What is this & what does pulling it out do?

      actually the 16 part is probably making you feel the bumps. you lost 2" of rubber to absorb those bumps.

          That actually looks suprisingly good, I never would have guessed that the 'Stang wheels would fit.

                Well, on Wednesday, my Cutlass became the breadwinner of the household. My mother's Fusion met the rear end of a Caravan with my older brother at the helm. Insurance is refusing to pay because of some nonsense or another, so the Ford is dead.

                Kinda hoping the shop finally looks at my Cutlass on Monday after 2 weeks of waiting. I'm towing elsewhere if I can't get a straight answer from them.

                  I would tow it elsewhere anyways, just my opinion.
                  today, I felt a void in my heart....because my Oldsmobile's not in my usual parking spot......

                  its at the mechanic's for a muffler and possible overhaul;

                        PCV grommet I ordered doesn't seem to fit right so I ordered a replacement, I love it when a $2 part brings everything to a halt. Ordered a new harmonic balancer too as the rubber is starting to separate on the old one.

                        In the meantime I flushed my ac lines (see http://www.a-body.net/forums/showthr...c-line&p=55424 ) and replaced the valve cover gaskets with new felpro ones. There are a rather silly number of brackets you need to take off to get the covers off (basically all of them)

                          That new gasket sure is vibrant!

                          Nothing much on the repair or replacement front as of late. My Ciera has spent most of the time parked, though I have taken it to a few job interviews and played taxi for drunk friends.

                          The most recent thing I did was secure the Bluetooth call box with zip ties, I had it taped under the dash and the tape eventually failed, so it just dangled there.

                                Came up beside a newer wagon at a red light and decided it was time to see what had changed in 22 years. Problem is, the wagon I decided to race had double my displacement and, again, 22 years newer technology. Yes, you guessed it, I decided to race a Dodge Magnum SRT8. Now, obviously I knew I would lose. However, the victory was that the guy actually put up with my nonsense and went for it, haha.
