i got a new job so i got the head bolt out of the Buick (looks like the Teflon paste didn't cure errr) so im getting a tap and die set + a small brush to clean out the hole and treads in hopes that black RTV will work lol.

oh yea dumped the water pump belt, on the topaz getting the head bolt, so that was fun.

I actually touched my coupe today, lol. I put a fresh battery in it and drove it around the block... and then parked it back in the same spot where it's been sitting for quite a while.

today I noticed a slight oil burn smell coming from the vents when i started her up...haven't found anything resembling burnt oil on anything but the block? huh this' weird.... also talked to body shops about the finish....most have had NO experience bringing original finishes back from the oxidized dead o.o they referred me to a couple professional detail shops who might have someone experienced enough to bring the shine back without repainting her...we'll see soon.

all the word i hear on bring fixing oxidized finish is hand buffing, as power buffing ends up removing to much stuff.

today I washed the car, in doing so, I removed one of the door trim strips; now it is in trunk waiting for when I do the whole polishing/rubbing/waxing so that I can also get new 3m or similar double side trim tape to replace; also on way from store I heard a rattling sound hitting something like a can....ya know...a coffee can rattle? turns out one of my lug nuts had fallen off and had been rattling inside the center cap...another reason i love these center caps.....they KEEP the nuts in; in case of such events...tho in some case one could expect the center to fall off launching the nut(s) out... apparently the tire guys who did the tires didn;t noticeo ne nut being not torqued down...lol.

Tested fitted the Factory 15" turbine style wheels from my Cherokee on the Buick, turns out they need at least a 1/2" spacer to fit the front or they sit right against the calipers. Looked good though.

That wheel/tire combo looks really good on that car. The stance is perfect. Those are Grand Am GT wheels, right? What size tires?

Changed the oil and spark plugs. Gave the interior a good vacuuming.

FINALLY got the wiper arms off and the cowling, so I'm redoing the WW hoses and vacuuming the vents. After that, I'm installing the automatic trunk lock...factory cutout in the glove box but no wires so laying in a new wire, button....hell while I'm down there and rooting around underneath the carpeting, might as well pre-lay the wires for the amp and other goodies...or I might just fix the door windows and actuators, haven't decided yet...LOL

Today , i re-soldered the wire that powers the drivers side vanity-lights in the sun visor .
the first owner cut the wire for some reason, i had twisted the wires back together to connect them, but the ends would touch a piece of metal and short out causing the fuse to blow out powering everything inside. I must have replaced the fuse 20 times now . evrytime you wuld move the visor, it would blow out the fuse no good.

So finally i dont have to mess with it anymore !!!! no more blown fuses !!! YAYY !

Cleaned out a squirrel nest from my air intake box, and took the 5 babies into a pet store, which found them a home at a wildlife center.
