    Thx Keith and skip!

Both of you have gorgeous cars as well and I was lucky enough to even ride in Keiths on his last visit to Tampa. I told my wife how you got ur a-body at the dealership Skip and she thinks it's definitely a beautiful car, especially after I showed her ur post pics of under the hood. I told her if we get another A- body it may just have to be a Buick since she loves them so much lol.

Gotta keep her away from looking at ur cars before she turns on me haha.

Thanks for the compliments though, its definitely encouraging me to keep learning from you guys and challenging myself to get in and do the work.

Thank you very much to you and your wife for the compliments on my car, I love my Century. Yup, mine is a one owner. Bought it new. You and Keith have worked so hard on your cars. Amazing transformations I think. I love the pictures.

...and you have the proud distinction of having the oldest one owner a-car on this site!

No pictures, but I got the 85 coupe back running ( ended up having two burned valves and a blown head gasket between the two center cylinders. ). Had a friend do the r&r on it as I have little free time right now. I also took out the mid-2000's Pioneer headunit and added a Delco EQ tapedeck. The dash trim was broken so I replaced it with a mint Euro one that I got from 86Euro last year. Oh, threw some speaks in as there were none at all, will need to get better rear ones later though. Still needs motor mounts and fuel filter replaced badly. Project for this weekend hopefully Need to get wrenching on the 86 next!

Had an Eventful weekend getting a few much needed projects done. Lucky for me Keith was in town and I was able to meet up with him to pick up my wagon springs and get also get some tips on the project. It was my first time doing any of this but I got it done thanks to Keith and the search engine on our forum. As I have mentioned in past post; the only experience I had before Abody.com was changing a flat so I feel proud when I have days like this.

Everything that was done with a few pics as you all know I like to post.

            1. NOS Splash guards: im glad I finally was able to get these done.

            2. Upgraded to wagon springs: I had that axle drop because the wood slipped out a few times. Made my heart drop cuz I thought I ripped out my brake lines, thank goodness everything was fine and it was only a few inches and the jack caught it so it never touched the ground. I learned that the 2x4 shouldn’t be horizontal with the axle but long ways engine to trunk.

            3. Front brake pads: my pads were toast as you can see. But I learned I also need new calipers because the dust boot on the driver’s side had that liquid gasket repair on it and the piston was slightly uneven and could not be compressed all the way. Thank goodness it was enough to allow clearance for the rotors and a test on Drive allowed the rotors to spin no problem

            4. Rotors: old ones had deep grooves and I was feeling light pulsations when braking so I knew this needed to get done.

            5. Fuel filter: the hose looked pretty bad with clamps and electrical tape on them. Not sure what that was all about but im sure glad to know the filter wasn’t 26 years old. I poured it out and blew out anything left inside while my wife advised me I would die if I accidently drank the gas from it lol. I just say babe the book says I have to do this to check for crud haha.

Everything that went on the trash

Next Day was a beautiful out!

my family and I had more than a blast at Bush Gardens riding all the roller coasters in great company! We got to see Jordan Sparks in concert and have My nephew and Keith’s son really kicked it off; best friends for life was the topic on the way home. We all had a blast and can’t wait to do it again. All in all great weekend!

Glad you got 'er running! Wonder how the valves got burned? Were there any bent pushrods or valves?

Change my muffler insulator at lunch JUST NOW lol. I had a little rattle coming from back there. She's getting more and quite as the days go by.

The old had to be original

Well did something today to my old girl cleaned the evaporator coil black box inside wise. She's wasn't that dirty but my flow wasn't as strong as it usually was. I cheated someone said to look in here so I did it wasn't bad but decided to clean it out . I have the 3100 v6 which I have to remove the alternator and pull the blower motor out . As you see not much room well just improvised lol. I used the both ends of the shop vac to blow out All the junk with the blower set on hi and then sucked out all the crude. Keep in mind wear safety goggles sand in eyes and in hair don't min lmao ... Wasn't much but boy increased the air flow nicely 5 min idling with ac on man she's leaking great now and nice and cold air with some force to it . Thanks to all you guys for support and help to you guys all rock !!! .

                            Keith,

I replaced my blower, but I don't recall having to pull the alternator. I think you can slide the blower left; I think the hole is big enough.

I'll have to check my old posts.

                            EDIT: I was wrong! http://www.a-body.net/forums/showthr...t-Some-Answers
