Anyone got advise on adjusting the parking brake?

I install new drums and shoes, with brake fittings kit, and then fit shoes tight to drum...parking brake works fine.

Once you have the rear shoes adjusted properly, then with the rear axle still jacked up adjust the parking brake cable so the rear wheels are locked at 3 clicks. When the parking brake pedal is released both wheels should be completely free to spin. Once the parking brake is properly adjusted regular use will keep your rear brakes automatically adjusted as well.

Well, I'm vacationing in Colorado, so they so many miles away. Here in Colorado, I've seen some well preserved a-body cars, one was a square tail. For whatever reason, they avoid the rust issues of the mid-west ( my next stop, Minnesota).

Old cars aren't a problem in Minnesota!
It's usually a Minnesota license plate when I notice the occasional severely rusted car here.

It's pretty cold up there. Are they any different than Wisconsin? I saw an a-body dissolve in a parking lot once in Wisconsin.

Severe rust too, just about like any of the states around the Great Lakes that use salt on the roads.

If you're in the Colorado Springs area you may see my 87 Celebrity White Wagon driving around.

Just got back in town. Shoulda stayed one more day, I would have been in the area for the total eclipse!

I missed Colorado Springs this trip, accidental got onto 285 and ended up in Denver. Saw a few a-cars in Colorado, including a well preserved square tail.

Broke the turn signal switch. The arm just flops around now. Ordered a new GM switch and waiting for it to arrive.

Ken, are you riding it out? Looks like Harvey wants to hang around for a while. Forecasts of 30" of rain in Houston look like trouble. Austin is only expecting 10".
