We're doing ok. All utilities still online, although the phone line was dead before the storm yesterday (no DSL, no Internet, no!), but it came online again before the storm hit Rockport. So, we just wait to see how much rain we'll get and if a tornado comes our way (there have been a few minor one....although it's not minor when a 2x12 flies through your roof).

For now, no high water in my area (Sugar Land), I am fairly distant from Rockport / Victoria. Bread trucks are running restocking the grocery stores.

We've been in a good situation here, but inside Houston, and along I-45, not so much. It's not Allison...yet. We'll see. I've worked in the TMC for nearly 20 years, and they did major upgrades since that last storm.

Washed and vacuumed the '92. Had the other two Hankook 195/75/R14 WWs mounted that I bought at the Discount Tire President's Day sale. Bought four more for the '96 with the Labor Day sale, $199.44 after the rebates, including the road hazard warranty. The rebates were very easy before and came quickly.

Getting close to getting back onto the Century FWD Refresh Project as I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel with my rebuilding of my S10's front suspension. Should have the the passenger side done by tomorrow afternoon. Align it, inspect it, and then I will be working on my Century again!

Put a 'new', perfect, pair of blue sun visors in the '92. Both have non illuminated vanity mirrors. Came from a matching light blue Century Special. Well equipped, but with a 3 speed auto and 3300, only 68K miles. Ours is a 3300 with 4 speed auto and almost no other options.

Last weekend, I tripped on an air hose and I grabbed hold of my '95 to keep from falling.....

Changed the FPR again on the '96. The wife called me on Friday to say she really had to crank the car a long time to get it to start. Verified the relay was really turning on and applying power, but it had to have constant power through the oil pressure switch to be able to start. The 30 month old FPR from NAPA would bleed pressure badly when attempting to start the car, and immediately when the pump stopped. NAPA exchanged it without any questions or difficulty. Another aftermarket part I regret buying now.
Went ahead and replaced the fuel pump afterwards with a Delphi pump. I've been monitoring it for a while, as it is the original pump with just short of 180K miles. It still acted 'lazy' and the pressure was down from the last time I checked it.

Probably take me all day today to recover from this.

I think I went with "Standard" on one of mine, and Delphi on the the other FPR. I can't help but wonder if the alcohol they are putting in the fuel these days isn't eating them. I know it's hard on my lawn equipment.

Still all OEM on my fuel pumps, but I can't help but wonder what all this sitting is doing to them.

I see the better grade Standard brand FPR looks just like the one from NAPA. They have a economy grade on RA that does look different.

I was surprised how good and clean the tank looked inside. The car has been here for 20 years after the first year in Florida.

It's really hard to keep up with these parts suppliers. I try to stick with what looks best (whatever that means!), but maybe it was just the alcohol that got you!

I know what you mean! So hard to tell now-a-days.

I think the alcohol ruins all sorts of stuff. At least I can get fuel alcohol free near my home.

Hard to find the pure gas here in Texas. I have a couple of 5 gallon cans that I take with me occasionally when I drive up north. I use the pure gas for my small engines.

Yeah, can't find any here in the Chicago land area either. Wish I could though. I have been using Sta-Bil in my fuel as I don't drive her much and I keep her topped off.
