I get the whole "being diferent" thing, but thats just retarded IMHO... Would have been so much easier, and cheaper, to do a Archie swap, or even a L67.. It might have even been cheaper to try to cram a 400 SBC in there.

I can understand the reasons why. It is different, and he mentions the better weight distribution if you do the "reverse rotation" swap. It would be easier to do the Archie swap, but hey, it's his car, and it's still cool to me. Love the crazy swaps you can do with a Fiero.

Dont forget that any swap that can be done in a Fiero, can be done in a A-Body. Althou this one might be way to much with the frame rail changes he had to do.

Its still an interesting swap, and it does have the cool factor. But just so much overkill..

Isn't this the basis of what hot rodding is about?? Things like this are the reason racing and hot rodding became existent. To add an L67 in one of those seems common...Now add a V8...WOW!!!

That is true (as far as i know). Has anybody put a 350 in an A-body yet?

As for overkill. That's not as much overkill as the guy who built "Overblown", the triple supercharged Celebrity VR coupe. THAT car was overkill!

Someone on the old board posted a pic of a Ciera wagon with a transverse mounted SBC.

Someday, before I die, I want to build a 2 door Celeb wagon with a full tube chassis and a SBC powering the rear wheels. It will only be mini-tubbed and be stock appearing except for the wheels and an extra pipe out the rear

Neat! I remember working on a couple of those ToroEldo longitudinal FWD powertrains! In fact I have a transmission setup from one that had a turbo Buick engine from the factory.

I like that, alot of work went into it and it is definately very unique!

why not lol v8 have more holes, they run smoother, with more holes you can get larger displacements so forced induction give you that much more power over a 6 or 4
