Part lightening part getting rid of anything that would catch fire or melt if the worst happens.

We'll have to inventory what we have. We tossed anything that was cracked or broken in some way or another, and something just weren't there. But the rest I put in my shed in case someone else might need it.

So we got some more work done this weekend. We replaced the thermostat with a 185 degree fail open and got to working on the exhaust. We also took it for a ride around the block just to make sure it still drove fine.

What is that, 2.5 straight through? That will really wake that engine up, and it'll sound awesome.

Can't really tell a difference, but from your shouting in the first vid, I imagine it is quite a bit quieter now with even a glass pack. I had a 2.8 6000 several years ago that didn't have a muffler, and it sounded very angry at all times.

It was quite a bit quieter but still sounds angry, which I like. Part of it is that in the car now that it has all the carpeting and sound deadening materials andtrim out it plus having the muffler directly underneath the passenger compartment it sounds louder inside the car than outside.

Of course now I want to drive it around, but shouldn't since it has an expired plate, and the seatbelts aren't connected right anymore, and it has no cat.

Just go home from work and on my door was a sticky note from somebody wanting to buy the Ciera. Either it sounds good enough to get random offers or its just a weird coincidence.

Maybe but my bet is on someone trying to get a dirt cheap parts car, or maybe car to rehab. Buy it dirt cheap, put in a junkyard interior and sell for a couple grand.

When's the race you're entering? Tell 'em to wait until then.

The race is in October, but we hope to race the car in more than one race.

If you got it, pound on it.
If you don't got it, build it.
                          If it's broke, fix it.
If it's running, pound on it.

We are going looking for a 2nd set of rims this weekend. I think we have a lead on a set that match the ones we have.

lol prospeeder, the CL ads are still full of dealers trying to get $1800-5 grand for their A-bodies...lol. (the $5 grand one is a 1996 Ciera or century with 38K miles...)

and wow, the race car is coming together pretty nicely!
