      Mistyped, was talking to Luke on the phone and he's working on a car with 5x114... interestingly enough off topic, the 5x115 also fits chrysler minivans.... which are actually I think 5x115.5 When Luke had his voyager he bought 5x115 rims for it, then when he got his supreme with the same hub bearings as my Ciera he was able to keep the van rims/tires and put them on his supreme (since the tires that came on the car are near-bald.... these are the 5 spoke supreme rims I'll be putting on my Ciera w/new tires before winter)

        All J and L cars, and N cars up to 1998, have the 5x100 hub size, with the exception of the Malibu/Cutlass.

          For,
          __any that care.

          wheel sizes converted from mm to inches

          5x100.0 = 5x3.937

          5x114.3 = 5x4.500

          5x115.0 = 5x4.527

          5x115.5 = 5x4.547

          Just on the wheel sizes discussed, of course.
          If you got it, pound on it.
          If you don't got it, build it.
          If it's broke, fix it.
          If it's running, pound on it.

            Well yesterday we were going to work on the brakes, got the parts and took apart the driver side brakes when we went to put on the rotor we found out that we actually have the JA2 setup not the JA1. Dug out the old spare tire cover and plain as day it says ja2 not ja1 like for some odd reason we have been saying we had. So lots of parts returning later and quite a bit of embarrassment. Not sure how or why we decided we had ja1's but now that we know we have the better brakes and the 5x115 hubs I guess we may once again be interested in SilentWings old steel rims.

                  Do you have a spare tire like lemons bob does? I'm guessing not otherwise you would have said so lol. Did you not have an SPID sticker that would tell you? Wish I could help you out but with an 83 I have no clue lol.

                    i do, the rulers i have are either too long or too bendy to be reliable lol. (spare wheel) but I dont have a SPID, which makes things even more difficult >.<

                      Not to much left to do after we get the brakes done, just need to add the trans and engine oil coolers, and get a seat and get it caged (I'm sure there are a few other small things I'm missing). I just need to keep lemons bob from trying to take the rims off of my Alero.

                        the Alero wheels are 5x100mm, fortunately for you. lol. I just realized something. were there EVER any steel 13x5.5 wheels in 5x115mm pattern? its listed only under the X body and the N body cars, as 5x100mm pattern....

                            oh and CamoDeafie it might be easier to measure the front rotors. THe Ja1 like 9.7 inch diameter and the ja2 would have a about a 10.25 inch diameter.

                              so the JA2 rotors and calipers would actually be too large for the 13" wheels is what you're saying?

                              EDIT: huh. theres NO 5x115mm 13x5.5 wheels available, steel or aluminum; so looks like its 5x100MM for sure; OEM replacement wheel site states 1982 and 1983 ciera had the 13x5.5 wheels as options too; and shows it for the Cavaliers...looks like I was right first time about the bolt pattern; can't find a set of 4 Calais wheels for under $200 dammit.

                                you might be able to put them in there but they'd probably be pretty tight.
