This weekend we went out and got a new seat. Not as soft and cushy as the old seat but should support us and keep us in place a bit better in the turns than the split bench would.
We bought a Corbeau FX1 Pro
Our next issue is going to be mounting it. Corbeau makes a bracket for A-bodies, but on their site they say they are only good from 82-86. I kind of doubt they changed how the seat mount to the floor, but I'll have to take the seat out and do some measurements. Even with the measurements though we might have to find another way to mount it since it is going to take the 4-6 weeks to ship the brackets. I'm guessing they have to build them, probably don't sell all that many, especially since they say they only support half the production run for the a-bodies.

Just mount it to the stock tracks. Unless it would ruin them...Daniel

Since its really for our own good I think we'll avoid the plywood in the final product.
Just heard back from the cage builder. He is busy working on cars for the Transformers Movie for another week, so it will be a little while until we can get it caged to get this sorted out, and get some of the other work done.

There is always next year. It seems like the Midwest races have been getting a lot of people signing up so we should be keeping multiple races a year for a while.
It'd be nice to have a couple more a-bodies out there, plus if we get enough Oldsmobiles we can atleast have a chance to get Oldsmobile a manufacture championship. Of course with ours being stock it might be nice for someone to drop a little something more powerful in the next one.
