How's the project going? were you able to install the eibach springs?

    Comment

      Unfortunately almost nothing!

I got my shipment of Eibach Springs but the car isn't driven in the winter so they're sitting in my basement, along with all the other parts I said I would put together over the winter. Due to work/school, my car's currently sitting under a car cover outside, and not in my garage. Been sitting for about 2 months now.

Am hopefully going to bring it into my garage this weekend so I can atleast do an oil change and put some fuel stabilizer in the tank. Then, we play the waiting game until the snow goes away in April!

It's been quite some time since I updated this thread so here we go.

The last 2 years brought a lot of change, which means the car unfortunately sat on the back burner.
Earlier this summer I was able to get back to it; the last time the car ran properly was about 1.5 years ago, so the most important thing was figuring out what the issue was.

Original issue was that the car would (sometimes) not hot start, and cold starts would (sometimes) need some love from the gas pedal.
The hardest part about fixing this was that the car would not break down consistently; even the mechanics I brought it to originally couldn't figure out what it was.

I moved cities about a year ago and finally found a local mechanic who was able to figure out the issue (fuel injectors).

Over the last 5 months, the following has been replaced:
        - Battery
        - Spark plugs/wires
        - Fuel pump
        - Fuel filter
        - Crank Position sensor
        - Brake line (one section)
        - Fuel injectors
        - Fuel pressure regulator
        - Idle air control valve

I'm happy to report that the car is working great so now I can move onto some more fun mods.

        - Eibach Springs (next on the list)
        - Recently purchased a magnaflow cat + front pipe (#23421) as well as a Walker midpipe (#46665)

They should go well with my existing magnaflow muffler!

Thanks for the offer, unfortunately I'm just seeing this now. There are a number of smaller things I still need for the car, so if you happen to come across them let me know. Still hunting for window guides, door rubbers and weather stripping.

I'm also happy to report that I got my new exhaust system installed; sound didn't change drastically, but it's definitely deeper.

Its been so hot here i have not been able to force myself out to the yard. Getting something for another member when i get there. Been 96 or more everyday here for a while. With the humidity it is just miserable outside. Change coming into the weekend though. Maybe next week...
