Nice work, makes for an enjoyable car when the inside looks so good.

Showing it some love in the yard today.

Took it up to the bridge today. Was supposed to storm all weekend, but not a rain cloud in the sky all day. Couldn't pass up the opportunity to get out.

Lookin Good...nice to find a decent older vehicle.

I came across a lower mileage 1990 240 Volvo with minor if any rust, and sunk about $500.00 in parts on it. Starts/Runs like OEM new...these are hard to find these days.

I work with a guy who has been into Volvos for like 10-15 years. He's had at least 3 of them and I think his kid drives one too. I know for sure of an 89 240 wagon and an 88 240 sedan. The wagon was decent, but the sedan was pristine. He knows them as well as we know our a-bodies.

This morning I put the new shocks on the back. Adjusted the new universal trans modulator to soften the shifts. Then cut to size and installed the underhood insulation. Been driving it more lately, both because the Celeb has felt iffy like exhaust or cradle mount or steering rack or something not quite right. Also because for most of the last week been taking a new girl out to the park, dinner, fireworks, and Saturday going to see Jefferson Starship who is doing a concert in our town.

This might become a regular parking spot at her apartment. A few minutes from Autozone where I am a lot of the time anyway.

Hood pop at the apartment after installing hood insulation.

Hood insulation close up. I want to paint the same word/logo onto the insulation as what is on my mudflaps. I already got the high temp white paint. Just need to make a large stencil at work. Well once our plotter is fixed, that could take awhile. I figure if the 6000 STE has a logo on its insulation, my Olds can have it too.

            Logo on mudflap.
