much better!!! there are a few mistakes on the 1990 wiring diagram, some of which might be simple blurring. I will be back-probing both gauges to verify all content thus far.

and i did promise pics... soon, in another thread...

The above diagrams are from Shop Key, everything should be correct. I think it's over $125/month to have that program.

Ouch! I appreciate it, but yes, there were a few small errors. nothing major. Just errors and typoes in the diagrams of the 90 on the cluster guide on the left of the image, for both clusters.

I bought the cluster I need today,(can't find the one I've been saving for 4+ years) along with two tires, a hubcap and an OEM luggage rack... (don't ask) soon... very soon.

Here's my plan: I don't know if I have to pull the dash or not (probably), but I plan to use the cluster connectors from another 95 and the 90 donor and wire both of them to the current cluster's harness connectors. This way the plugs for either cluster will be available if for any reason the rally cluster doesn't work out or has further issues.

and another subject to figure out... in another thread... DIS installation in a 95....

Bringing this back up, Luke can get the diagram for the 89 but he says the diagram for the 94 'sucks' in the quality department. Can anyone on here get me a good quality wiring diagram for a 94 Ciera 3100 insturment cluster? The sooner the better we'd like to get started on Sunday if possible. Thanks

Anyone? I can't really read the ones that are up on here and on Andy's flickr account, we need really clear ones.

Installed! It's so nice to have everything right in front of me... or at least it will be once we get my dash back together (ran out of time last night). The diagrams and the pinout writeup are invaluble pieces of information for anyone who's trying to take this on. For future reference anyone who's planning on doing this will need 2 or more extra pins. My airbag light is now the "tailgate ajar" light (I don't have a tailgate obviously, so that'll get my attention). I ditched the low traction light because I know when my ABS kicks on, and I don't believe I have a low washer fluid sensor nor do I need that light. There was one more that I didn't use because I don't have a sensor for that either, but I can't remember off the top of my head what it was. Oh and one more thing we learned, in a pinch if you take a flat screwdriver to a bench grinder you can make a super handy tool to remove the pins from the connectors Thanks again to Andy and even though he doesn't seem to be around anymore thanks to Crazy K too.

For all 94+ Ciera owners we've hit a snag, the plate behind the insturment panel is rubbing somewhere... probably on one of the bulb housings. We know because the tach is going all wonky after driving it around for the first time last night. It's pushing the cluster away from the connectors that the plate behind the cluster holds in place. Not sure when we'll get around to fixing it since everything else but the tach works just fine, maybe sunday, maybe further down the road. When we do get around to it I'll take pics for future reference.

I've got a rally cluster I may try and get in my '96 before the end of the summer, what did you ultimately do about the rubbing?
