What Did You Do to Your A-Body Today?

Did a brief cleaning and got all the trash out from under the seats. Cans, cups, etc. Waiting for a string of warm days so I can take the doors apart and make the windows roll up and down again.

washed the car right before it rained again lol. spring storms..at least in Oregon, its just sun and rain

yesterday did the Vinyl cleaning on the interior and greased the top speedo cable.....washed the 6 slot X body wheels along with the car today; gettign the wheels ready to be mounted by this weekend; am waiting on a friend to let me know about the Ebay X body center caps; if not, I can try convince my dad to order them for me so I can put them on and ave trim rings and look better than the current 13 hole steelies...and friday or saturday, will go up to the Pic-n-pull up in Sherwood to see if i can score a uncracked brown Olds steering wheel; and see if i can find all the AC parts needed

i put a new air freshener, hanging of the mirror, and i drive everyday the century, from home to work and work to home.

recently clean the iac valve, put a new air filter, and thats all.

the car is running strong, i hope it last that way.

I yelled at mine, then cried for a while, then yelled again. Then I triede to adjust the TPS, got it running considerably better, got it home, it started running aweful, yelled at it, cried some more. Just another Wednesday with my Cutlass Ciera. *sigh*

Drove mine to work and back for the first time, noticed a few little odd things. Among which, the horrendous timing cover oil leak (which I guesstimate would be about 1/3 a quart a week) all of the struts/shocks are worn (thumping rear shocks over bumps) Passenger side door will not open (inside or out) and with the rain we've been having, water comes in under the dash. But it does run okay (got me back nd forth no problem, keeps up with 85+ mph traffic, and gets decent mileage.

Took the ciera to my work today and Serviced the transmission, replaced the front crankshaft seal, and put a different starter on it. its now finally complete! My friend can come get it now. for a 300$ car and only putting about 250 into it, its nice. Runs well, drives well, a/c is cold, has a new CD player that came with it.

did the following things today;
oil change (Jiffy, $20 deal, awesome!) got rims changed over for $20, with front two balanced free! (super awesome!) got a set of 4 used "driver quality" era correct 13" trim rings, for $15 (sweet! dont have to pay like 35+ on ebay for extremely shiney new rings that stick out like a sore thumb against the old wheels and center caps lol)

Swapped in a GM Symphony Sound Radio that I think was originally out of a Cadillac. It sounds nice. I also replaced the power antenna. Now it goes up and down.

Too bad I now have to put Brakes on my Wife's car.

Speedo stopped working again. both cables are in good shape...means one of two things; the transducer is messed up, or the driven gear is messed up. well add a 3rd thing; the speed governor system is messed up...when it was working somewhat, it would make a rather quiet but noticable grinding kind of sound when the needle jumps.....louder on the driver side than the passenger side, which made me think Transducer? I might bite the bullet and just bypass the stupid CC system lol. also noticed that my IP is missing quite a few light bulbs....namely, all the top ones for the idiot lights (choke warning, low on fuel warning, water in gas warning, a few others) I know I don't need the choke one, i think that one is only for the carbed engines....but i'd like the low on fuel warning light back lol.
