    Default Factory Celebrity Tachometer

Since I am in the process of selling the Celebrity locally, I removed the tachometer so another member here can enjoy it as much as I have over the years. I bought it from another member here back in 2004. It came from a V6 equipped Celebrity originally.

I think it's safe to assume a price of $75 shipped would be fair?

As far as payment, I would prefer Paypal.

Personally I think that's a high price, though granted it is a rare part. I wouldn't need it for my Celebrity since it is an automatic. If I was listing the part on eBay I'd start it a $30, maybe with a reserve of $40 if you really hate to let it go.

I'd be willing to come down $50 if thats more reasonable.

Ebay is more a last resort for me if I really need to sell it. But I'm not a big rush to sell it. Just figured someone here would appreciate it more, than some random person buying it on Ebay.

$50 is about the going rate. I wouldn't take any less than that IMHO.

Do they work on cars with the column shift?

Yes, the Celebrity that I've had it in for the past 8 years is a column shift. Removed the gear selector and put the tachometer in its place.

As far I know, pretty much all '87 and maybe(?) most '88 model year Celebrity's are pre-wired for the tachometer, the plug for it is usually tucked up behind the headlight switch on the dash.

That's nice to know. Do you have to take the gear selector out though? Or can you put it somewhere else?

The tachometer will take place of the gear selector, can't have both.

LOL. My only reasoning for wanting to keep the gear selector is, its an original part of the car and I like to keep my cars as original as possible. I'm just surprised that I can't cut out the space underneath it, as it looks like it would fit. But yeah, you really don't need the gear selector.

I have to pay some bills this month, and if I have leftover money I will definitely buy this rare, original part from the OP.

    Quick question.
That trim part there does that fit onto a regular dash part? Like where the column shift indicator is? Or is that cover different? Also i am basing that question on a 1985 model year. If i would put one in mine theres 2 things
1 it doesnt look wierd and 2 no chopping dash parts
