    Default Driver's door weatherstrip seal.

The seal on my 1986 Pontiac 6000 is damaged and I have water entering through the door in rain and at carwash. I tried to use some glue, but it doesn't help.
There's also issue with rear right doors' seal, but it's not that bad as the driver's.

The seal is #3 on the picture:

There's a listing on Ebay with such item, but the price is ridiculous.

Could anyone please help me? If you saw a-body in a junkyard near to you, could you please strip such seal and ship it for me to Moscow? All expenses are on me, of course.

I am still thinking of maybe using something like this universal seal, but not sure if it will be as good as OEM.

BTW, any suggestion on what other cars' door seals could be used on A-body are welcome. As far as I've seen, all other GM bodies has different style and shape of seals.

I used door seals from a '97 Cavalier coupe on my mom's '88 Celebrity coupe, they work great. I don't remember if they were too long or too short, but by making a seam in the lower door area, it was easy to fit them. IIRC, they had the proper corner made into them for the top of the B-pillar area.

I also once got a set of door seals from a Volvo 960 wagon, they looked like the right size and style too. I've never used them yet, but they sure look like a good match.

Think an 89 buick electra. (park avenue) would work?

Looks like the problem isn't that big as I thought it was.

Me and my pals concluded that all four door seals which are now installed on a car are not factory seals. And that explains why I couldn't find such seals anywhere.
One guy I know owns a '91 Grand Prix and he replaced his seals with the ones from Russian car VAZ-2108. VAZ seals are 3.8 meter long and A-Body's are approximately 3.7-3.8, so I'll try the same replacement and hope it will work.
Probably any seals of length 3.8+ meters with the profile like this would work:

I hope it works. I have never seen a Sputnik in our junk yards, so if it works, we might need your help to find them!

Let the forum know if your weatherstrip issue is not resolved.

Looks like the problem is resolved, although I only replaced front doors seals. VAZ-2108 seals fit almost perfectly, but I want to replace rear ones too then go to car wash and see if there any leaks. If not, then I'll call it a win

There's gotta be someone that can still find mint door seals and send them over. There's not many left up north here and these cars are getting older and harder to find anything good.
