It had the regular blue 2-spoke Celebrity steering wheel when I bought it. I've since put the steering wheel from the '88 Euro on it as seen in the pic of my pile o' parts on my 1st post - pic below has the original wheel.

Dad's '90 Euro has a 3-spoke wheel kind of like what Cavaliers got around the time. I wanted to get the whole column out of that '88 Euro - mine's a non-tilt column and the Euro had a tilt column. Also, my wagon lacks cruise control, what all would I need if I were to come across another one that has cruise to harvest the needed parts from?

OK, I couldn't remember if all 90's got the three spoke steering wheels, or just the Eurosports. From what I can remember, the cruise is easily added. Whatever is needed, I'm sure I've got a few extras. I've got a few tilt columns too, but they are floor shift... unless you want to swap in a console, I have several of those too

Getting a squeak from under the hood, especially when cold... brought the wagon into the garage after work today and popped the belt off and spun the pulleys. Found the idler pulley is going bad so will need to get that replaced. Here's a quick pic of what the wagon looks like as of today, kind of dirty and needs cleaned up.

I'll keep you in mind when I decide to pursue the cruise control project. As for floor shift, I'd consider it but I think I'd like to keep the bench, something about being able to have your girl next to you. Ok, ok, I'm married 3 years now, and now it makes for a good place for her to put her purse/bag, instead of on the floor at my feet as when we're both going somewhere in either of the Luminas with floor shift.

That is a good looking car!

By the way, cruise IS easily added. Everything should be there, just install the actuator (with its harness), control module, and switch. There are a couple good threads here about this.

    Sincerely,
    David

Picked up a new idler pulley today, going to get it on the car tomorrow. Also going to use the wagon as a truck tomorrow to take my pile of scrap metal to the recyclers.

Got the idler pulley replaced on Monday, much quieter now on cold startups. Did my scrap run using the wagon as a truck and I was able to fit various crap I had around without any problems - old brake rotors, exhaust/mufflers off the cars, rusted engine cradle from the wife's Lumina, a couple radiators, couple bags of beer/pop cans, and some fence/posts among other things. Got myself some more beer funds after making that run.

Tonight after getting home from work I finally tore the wiper arms/cowling apart to re-connect the passenger side washer nozzle line that'd come unhooked. Cleaning the windshield works much better now that that line isn't disconnected!

Fixed the parking brake this evening - foot pedal wouldn't stay down as the ratcheting mechanism was all gummed up with old crusty grease. Cleaned it up and it now stays engaged. Otherwise the car's doing very well as a daily driver... need to get the red Lumina finished up soon so I can give the wagon a little TLC to the body/paint.

Mid-January update... been daily driving the crap out of this thing and it's still running great. Haven't had the free time to devote to fixing up the body and funds sort of lack right now for tires for those Eurosport rims. Maybe after taxes come back... This weekend it'll get an oil change and I'm going to check out the brakes, though I think it's time to go ahead and do 'em as I definitely have warped rotors. I'm up to 116500 miles on it and counting.

I hear ya on the lack of time and funds. Mine is at 102,1000 now, but still going strong. Planning on resuming my resto in the coming weeks.

Going to shift my attention to the wagon next too, been working off and on on the red Lumina fixing the rust in the rockers/quarter panels. That project's been stalled most of the last month due to everything going on but I did pick back up on it last weekend, and another weekend's worth of work and I'll have it done. Here's the drivers side after I got it pretty well done, before wetsanding/polishing out the clearcoat. Turned out pretty good for being Duplicolor rattlecan paint/clearcoat. The clear went on a bit orange peeley but an extra coat + wetsanding smoothed it out pretty good.

Very nice work! I have to do a major paint job on the cruiser once I get the rest of the mechanical bits sorted. Hopefully I can get mine to look at least like that!

Thanks! Did quite a bit of cutting out bad metal/patching it in with new, then a bit of filler. Forgot to take a 'before' pic but it was all rusty beneath the fuel door. Took a decent bit of time making patches/welding them in to get everything back to how it should be. Passenger side wasn't nearly as bad and I didn't have the fuel door to contend with but there was quite a bit of hidden rust in the bottom seam I had to cut out. Last weekend's work was to fill/sand/prime the passenger side, and it's now ready for paint.
